The 2025 GMC Terrain will be offered in four trim models: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. The SUV is starting a new generation with a bold, fresh look and modern features. This compact SUV has a tough design like the bigger Yukon and promises off-road fun with the AT4 trim.

How about Safety Features?

The 2025 GMC Terrain will come with many safety features, like lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, and automatic emergency braking. You can also get options like adaptive cruise control, surround-view cameras, and automated parking.

For the first time, GM’s SuperCruise hands-free driving might be available, but only on the luxurious Denali trim.

The previous model did well in crash tests, getting top ratings from both NHTSA and IIHS. The 2025 Terrain will also be tested by these agencies once it’s available.

2025 GMC Terrain Engine Options

The 2025 GMC Terrain is expected to have a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 175 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. This engine will use a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for front-wheel drive models and an eight-speed automatic for all-wheel drive models. The AWD version will likely get a bit more torque.

We don’t have the fuel efficiency ratings yet, but the new transmissions should make it more fuel-efficient. The previous Terrain gets 28 miles per gallon combined with front-wheel drive and 26 mpg combined with AWD. The towing capacity will probably stay at 1,500 pounds.

How about the Prices?

GMC hasn’t shared the 2025 Terrain’s pricing yet, but it shouldn’t be much more than the current model. We expect the starting price to be around $31,000, with higher trims and options pushing it up to about $41,000.
